Microsoft's Ballmer pitches Windows 7 in TorontoToronto, ON (NewsTechno) – Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer presented today the new Windows 7 to IT professionals in Toronto, as well as the upgraded Windows Server and Exchange server. Ballmer presentation was directed to an audience who have been reluctant to switch to Windows Vista.

Ballmer briefly spoke about Vista as being a good product but acknowledged that there was much noise in the system. It took no less than eight million beta testers before having the new Windows 7 operating system to go out on sale tomorrow. Ballmer described the new software as being “much faster and more responsive”.

When asked if the Windows XP users would be forced to upgrade to version 7 so they continue to receive components and security upgrades, Ballmer said that they won’t but you will get “more and more about switching to Windows 7″. At the same he recognized that the Windows XP support will come to an end sooner or later in the same way as for previous versions.

Ballmer was very careful when asked if computer that runs Vista will also run Windows 7 with no problem but those running Windows XP should definitely be upgraded to be able to run Windows 7 on them.
